Elum Website Redesign
CREATING A BETTER USER EXPERIENCE
I was tasked with redesigning the Elum website to create a better web experience for B2B and B2C customers, improve web traffic, and enhance their brand presence in the digital space. The previous website was clunky and not mobile friendly. I provided a simple and clean visual design framework to a Ul/UX designer who translated the designs into a full site experience. Elum partnered with Mojo Creative and Technical Solutions to build the site on the Magento platform. I oversaw all aspects of the project from concept to launch and managed all the art direction and content creation to bring it to life.
EASIER SEARCH AND LARGER PRODUCT DETAILS
An important task for this project was ensuring Elum’s new product lines were featured beautifully and easy to find on the site. This was accomplished by creating an intuitive sort and filter in navigation and on the landing pages to make sure anyone could easily filter down to just what they were looking for. Once on a product page, the user can see multiple detailed images of the products at a large size.
MOBILE RESPONSIVE AND SHOP SOCIAL FEATURES
Perhaps the most exciting upgrade to the site is the mobile-friendly experience allowing customers to shop the Elum site on any mobile device. We also incorporated a “Shop Social” functionality that pulls in images from the Elum Instagram directly to the site so you can have a seamless path to purchase from social media.
CONTINUING THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE OFFLINE
As an addition to the site launch, we upgraded the shipment packaging to continue the new and improved Elum experience, even after the purchase is made. The shipments are wrapped in gold-foil stamped tissue paper and topped with a thank you note that doubles a promotion to share images of your new swag on social media for a discount on your next purchase.
