Elum Social Media Content & Strategy
CREATING A BRAND VOICE AND VISUAL IDENTITY
Being the first employee at Elum to focus on social media and digital marketing, I was given the task of building a brand aesthetic and voice in the digital space to attract new social media followers. I started by creating a strategy to build their audience while also meeting company goals. We used the social space to promote new lines of products, showcase Elum’s achievements, give an inside look at all the work that goes into creating great products, and surprise and delight fans.

We designed unique campaigns to accompany each new product line launch. During this process, I was responsible for concepting the campaign, shooting the photography, creating any additional design assets as well as copywriting for the posts and managing the schedules.
SHARE ALL YOUR #NOTEWORTHYMOMENTS
In order to build a community around Elum’s brand first, they needed to get seen. I planned out a content schedule to ensure they consistently stayed visible to their followers. I also started making posts for social holidays and current events to stay relevant and reach their audience on a more personal level. Finally, we created the Elum hashtag: #noteworthymoments. We promoted it by printing it on products, packaging and marketing materials as well as partnering with influencers in order to encouraged Elum customers to share their #noteworthymoments.
CELEBRATE WITH ELUM
It was important to have a place where Elum could publicly celebrate achievements. This was used to attract new B2C customers as well as B2B business from retailers. It was also good for employee morale to have a place to brag about the team’s achievements. Below is a photo I took of an award-winning set of boxed note cards that were a collaboration between the two designers holding them in the photo.
SNEAK PEEKS AND BEHIND THE SCENES
One of the challenges Elum regularly faces is their products carrying a higher price point than many other stationery brands. This is because of the very involved, hand-made nature of letterpress printing and the thoughtful design that goes into their products. In order to convey the quality story, we used social media to share images of their team hand-crafting artwork, designing products and running the letterpress printers. We also shared office life around Elum to give fans more insights into the extremely talented team behind the Elum name in an effort to build more brand loyalty and attract new talent.
