Drink: Spicy Mango Mimosa

Is there anything better in this world than a spicy cocktail? I think not. Over the weekend I mixed up this spicy mango mimosa as a delicious brunch beverage and it was so good I feel the need to share with the rest of the world.

Spicy Mango Mimosa

  • 1 mango pureed
  • 1 cup OJ (or more)
  • 1 bottle champagne
  • 2-3 jalapeno slices per glass
  • 2-3 tbs Tajin seasoning
  • 1 lime wedge
  1. Puree 1 mango, add orange juice to thin out the puree so it will mix easily into the champagne.
  2. Put the mango/orange mixture in a drink shaker with 2-3 jalapeno slices and shake to add a bit of spice.
  3. Slice lime wedge and run along the edge of a champagne flute, then roll glass edge in Tajin.
  4. Fill your glass 1/2 way with champagne and top with spicy mango mixture (if your puree is too thick it might sink to the bottom of the glass, but you can use a drink stirrer or spoon to mix it in.)
  5. If you want some extra spice float the jalapeno wedges on top of your drink
