Drink: Boozy Rose Lemonade

I’m a total sucker for rose scented and flavored things. My grandparent’s favorite pastime was rose gardening together. The smell and taste of rose takes me back to being a little kid and running around their yard jamming my nose into different varietals.

That’s why I love this light, refreshing, boozy rose lemonade. It’s simple to mix up and goes down smooth and easy (maybe too easy?) It’s perfect as a brunch cocktail or for enjoying outdoors on a sunny afternoon.

You need:

  1. Fentiman’s Rose Lemonade
  2. Bombay Sapphire Gin (or whatever, but Bombay is the best IMO)
  3. Ice
  4. Lemon twist

Pour 2 oz. of Bombay Sapphire Gin into an ice-filled rocks glass. Fill the rest of the way with rose lemonade and stir until well mixed. Garnish with a lemon wedge or twist. If you want to get fancy you could even float a dehydrated rose pedal or two on top. BOTTOMS UP!

The rose lemonade can be kind of tricky to track down. I’ve seen it at tons of shops that sell craft sodas or if there’s a World Market nearby, that’s where I usually get mine. You can buy it online but from the Amazon reviews I’ve read, it seems like people don’t have a lot of luck purchasing it there. You can also try making your own by mixing rosewater into lemonade. (Although, I’ve never personally tried that so I can’t speak to how well it works.)
